1. What do you propose to do? [20 words]
Inform and empower service members to enter the public discussion and share their experiences within the context of major news stories with an educational kit and speaking tour.
2. Is anyone doing something like this now and how is your project…
I’m still trying to wrap my head around this. PFC Manning, the traitor who leaked classified documents to the enemy while engaged in combat operations, may have his trial thrown out because the Army hasn’t complied with all of his lawyers requests.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME???
His lawyer argues that at 24, Manning is a troubled kid who never should have deployed to war or given a secret clearance. Bullshit. Worst argument in history of trial law. We routinely give secret clearances or higher to 18, 19, 20, 21 year old “kids” and deploy them to all corners of the world without issue.Just because the lawyer disagrees with the clearance the Army issued this “kid” doesn’t negate the fact that he is a traitor to America and it’s people. By leaking the documents he did, he putter Armed Forces Service Members lives in jeopardy and threatened the National Security of America.
THE ACTUAL EFFECTS IN THIS INDIVIDUAL CASE DO NOT MATTER. The fact remains of what could have happened and what can still happen with the information that this scuba personally deliver to Al Quieda and The Taliban. Just because you robbed a bank at gunpoint and left without hurting anyone or taking any money doesn’t mean you didn’t commit a crime.
This kid is lucky he is only facing life in prison and not death by hanging or a firing squad. If I was in charge of this trial he’d be in the express lane to death row.
Lawyers semi more and more determined to destroy our country and values.
"every war crime committed by U.S. forces calls for a reassessment and examination into how the tragedy could have been prevented"
WTF??? This is how the military has been slowly destroying itself for the last 20 years. This is a great mindset if they were capable of coming to the conclusion that everything was done correctly and this soldier is just a criminal. The military is backwards with their shit rolls uphill mentality. This level of thinking is why you have to radio in to request to return fire and other such moron moments in combat history.
At this stage in the game most of the junior NCO’s are just troops and have no decision making ability because the Sergeants can’t even train them without getting permission from the CO. Maybe…just maybe, it’s time to recognize that SHIT happens and bad people do fucked up things and stupid people crash motorcycles and die and nothing is going to stop that.
Instead of MICROMANAGING every instance of a WARRIORS life, we need to give them the best training we can, and let them do their job. I never bought into the “troops are a reflection of their leadership” as a whole. It doesn’t apply as a general rule. It works with some but not the majority. Kids today are too free thinking to be openly mimic their superiors even though most of them will benefit from doing so. Look at some of my past clerks up in the S-1. Some were damn good and others were completely morally, socially, and physically retarded…. The damn good ones were trainable and mold-able to what I needed or they needed to be. But ones who constantly thought I was wrong stayed the way we got them. (Yup talking about Knight here…)
This guy wandering off base and slaughtering 16 innocents is his own fault. Shit. He was SF. He probably SNUCK past base security. I for one am withholding judgement on the command until the final report of what actually happened comes out instead of buying into the media hype.
I don’t condone his actions but it’d be a disgrace to start relieving people who were over him because they didn’t know he got a bottle of booze in the mail that morning or because he maliciously SNUCK off base to do this. We cannot control the actions of every individual all of the time. and we shouldn’t be finger pointing at people who had NOTHING to do with the crimes.
“The Fighting Sioux” is the nickname and logo of the University of North Dakota. It is also the source of a decade-long controversy.
The NCAA opposed the nickname on the grounds that it was offensive to Native Americans. In response, the state announced plans to officially drop the nickname. North Dakota legislators passed a law reinstating it, but eventually repealed the law. And then a statewide ballot initiative reversed the repeal.
Through it all, the Sioux tribe has maintained that it does not find the name offensive—and has granted permission for UND to keep it.
But even though the Sioux tribe has told UND it can use the name Fighting Sioux, the NCAA, in their infinite wisdom and with the normal ‘I know better than you” mentality, is threatening forfeiture of any sporting events if the school teams wore uniforms that featured the nickname or logo.
Protecting unoffended people from an imaginary offense that they already said doesn’t offend them. Yeah…seems like a good use of time. Yeesh.
offense, NCAA, failure, stupidity, politically incorrect, Sioux,

Filed under: Are you kidding me. Students chanting U.S.A. labeled as racists by ignorant school board
This is by far one of the worst political things I’ve ever read. Teenagers proud of the country they live in being forced to apologize and feel ashamed for their patriotism. Absolutely not. Clearly a case of someone needing to grow up and secure their out of place feelings.
I don’t care if the other school was primarily filled by any race. At no time should a patriotic chant be labeled as wrong because someone cried. Absolute bullshit. The parents of the other school need to be taken and reeducated on what it means to be American so they can teach their kids and the school officials that filed the complaint should be out of a job and never allowed to interact with impressionable minds ever again. Another institution of education destroying America one mind at a time.
She’s a whore, and it’s a distraction. Keep your eye on the ball people. Just a little reminder:
- Fuel is pushing $4/gal, expected to reach around $6/gal this summer—no realistic plan from our idiot President.
- Iran is priming to bomb Israel off the face of the…
Leaders aren’t born, they are made. And they are made just like anything else, through hard work. And that’s the price we’ll have to pay to achieve that goal, or any goal.
