This is by far one of the worst political things I’ve ever read. Teenagers proud of the country they live in being forced to apologize and feel ashamed for their patriotism. Absolutely not. Clearly a case of someone needing to grow up and secure their out of place feelings.

I don’t care if the other school was primarily filled by any race. At no time should a patriotic chant be labeled as wrong because someone cried. Absolute bullshit. The parents of the other school need to be taken and reeducated on what it means to be American so they can teach their kids and the school officials that filed the complaint should be out of a job and never allowed to interact with impressionable minds ever again. Another institution of education destroying America one mind at a time.

Birth Control Flame War or How I went through a whole bucket of popcorn watching this drama today

For those of you that went straight into FLAME WAR on me about my quick Birth Control piece earlier, let me clear a few things up. 

A)  I was posting a link to an article.  Pay attention. Don’t forget to flame on them as well… 

B) Obviously I need to expand upon my comment a bit since thinking outside the box of predetermined rants that have been socially engineered for you by the vial likes of Nancy Pelosi and John Stewart is an unfathomable concept for you.

Again it’s not an entitlement. BUT!!!!  If you have a LEGITIMATE medical reason other than to escape unplanned pregnancy, by all means, insurance should cover it.  While you can’t make them at this point and time,  I agree, they should cover it. At that point it is medicine.  What I’m sick of if Congress forcing this down anyone’s throat.  I’m sicking of Nancy Pelosi making this out to be a Murder 1 trial.  I’m sick of Christians and Republics being labeled as women-controlers and I think that the Catholic Church needs to look at this from another light as well. 

And as for comparing it to a gym membership… going to the gym is vital to all peoples health. Good luck getting anyone to cover your treadmill and free weight time though. Lifting weights encourages production of testosterone in men which is good for their overall health and life. Afterall sholdn’t men be allowed the same rights as Women? Idiots, this isn’t about women’s rights, this whole argument is about religious rights.

If the only reason you’re taking birth control is to avoid pregnancy, then its elective and insurance companies and employers should be allowed to say they won’t cover it.  Cough up the $40 or $50 bucks a month and SHUT THE FUCK UP ALREADY.

I’m not out to limit access to birth control, but it’s high time we started taking responsibility for ourselves, our actions and those of our children instead of blaming the government, our employers and the teachers union.

If your doctor prescribes birth control for medically necessary reasons, than I’m with you, your insurance should cover it.  No different than the bag of Motrin for your swollen knee. And it falls into the same trap as a lot of other things insurance shouldn’t necessarily (normally) cover. 

Viagra has been prescribed to control blood pressure.  But if your taking it to get a stiffy…  that’s elective and you DON’T need it. 

Nose jobs are (rarely) performed to relieve nasal complications.  If your honker is too big or small and you don’t like it… Surprise it’s fucking ELECTIVE. 

Plastic surgery in general has been performed to put things back the way they were after an accident that left you disfigured.

The key is common sense and medical necessities.  

It’s all these little things that are really elective (frivolous) and no where near necessary (among various other reasons) that have driven up the cost of healthcare. If people want stuff like that bad enough, they’ll find away to afford it.

I mean seriously, what’s next?  Insurance paying for cigarettes.  How absurd?  I’d be all over that on my pack a day habit.  But I think it’d be the dumbest thing in the world, and I’d cringe if it went through as I watch my insurance premiums go up to satiate a small sect of the people that demanded this.

Here’s how I treat my health insurance.  I’m sick, I go to the doctor.  I pay my co-pay.  I take the medicine, file my claim and get batter.  I’m not in there every fucking week looking for things that I don’t NEED. But the key here is.  If I can get that medicine at the grocery, then fuck the doctor, I’ll pick some up on my way to work. 

You can’t use avoiding pregnancy as a justification as NEEDING birth control.  It’s just stupid when there are plenty of alternatives. 

To whomever stated, girls don’t know enough about their bodies…whose fault is that MOTHERS? 

TEEN PREGNANCIES WOULD BE AVOIDED?  FUCK!!!!  Are you kidding me?  Once again, not birth controls faults.  It’s piss poor parenting.  My oldest will be 14 here shortly and a grandchild isn’t any closer to the battlefield of my life than it was 10 years ago.  My kids know that BABIES HAPPEN and there are responsible ways to avoid it….

Grow up people, quit looking to someone else to clean your fucking mess up.  Get a pair already and take care of yourself and your family.

There’s really just way too many loopholes to justify anything in the medical world  that it really is hard to take a stand for it against. Except abortion.  There’s never an excuse for abortion.  EVER.  And getting your face operated on to make you look like a cat.  That’s just fucking dumb.

What I’m really against here is Congress and the Kenyan in Chief dictating who does what.

Simple solution. Get an insurance company that gives you the most bang for your buck.  If your insurance company covers all this frugal medicine.  GREAT!  Good for you.  If they don’t… switch employers„ talk to your employer and try to get them to side with you, get separate insurance, switch insurance companies…or cough up the fee yourself. 

Oh and by the way for those of you bitching about the cost…. it is cheap. That the grand a year the moron that “testified” in front of Congress stated is a total of the medicine, the doctors visit and gas to the pharmacy and a lunch date since you had to go off campus to get it….
